Sharp LCD HDTV
The Sharp LCD HDTV LC52D85U is a very well priced, full HD, large 52-inch LCD HDTV. Featuring a 10-bit ASV LCD panel with a full HD / 1080p resolution technology for impressive fast motion handling and motion blur reduction.
This LCD HDTV comes with HD 1080p resolution power that exceeds other models in offering elegant and breathtaking image quality. Sharp LCD HDTV Aquos LC52D85U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz is equipped with advanced Sharp Proprietary technology and Super view/black TFT panel system that offers the most amazing color definition. Its 52 Inch wide display screen, offers 176 degree viewing angle with can get the same image result from various angle. It also has high dynamic ratio with a quick response time of 4ms.
In addition, Sharp LCD HDTV D85U offers stunning picture quality for fast motion pictures by utilizing its 120Hz Motion Enhancer technology. The 5 HDMI inputs of this Sharp LCD HDTV as it allow connecting the disc player, home theater, computer and camcorder with it. Moreover, the sound quality of this Sharp LCD is also quite appreciable. The Sharp delivers acceptable sound, but there was no real depth to its artificial surround sound, and no oomph to an organ blast. Loud sounds suffered from slight harshness. With many more features like built-in QAM, NTSC tuners, ATSC and video inputs, this Sharp LCD becomes a multifunctional entertainment device.
Unfortunately, design deficiencies make Sharp’s remote and its menus difficult to use. The remote is freckled with tiny, difficult-to-press buttons. Though it has a backlight, this feature doesn’t provide much help in the dark. Press the Light button (which glows quite nicely), and only the elongated Volume and Channel buttons, plus four others, light up. Since the labels aren’t illuminated, it’s unclear which button is which.
Other interface issues abound. Click the Input button, and you get a list of all available inputs, whether you have any hardware connected to them or not; worse, the inputs are titled ‘Input 1′, ‘Input 2′, etc., without any indication of which is an AV input and which is an HDMI (at least you can rename the inputs). The manual of this Sharp LCD HDTV has a busy, unattractive layout, and the absence of an index makes finding needed information unduly difficult.
Furthermore, the Sharp LCD LC-52D85U doesn’t support picture-in-picture or any multimedia capabilities via USB, SD Card, or ethernet.
