The LG70 series is a premium line of LCD televisions produced by LG for year 2008. This LCD television continues with 1080p resolution. The contrast is increased considerably to 40,000:1 (dynamic) and a fourth HDMI input has been added. The refresh rate is also increased to the highest standard 120hz. The LG 42LG70 has many of LG’s newest design elements with a Scarlett red accent to the bezel and a metallic silver accent on the bottom of the frame. The LCD is 5″ in depth.

 

LG has unveiled one of the most stunning models in home theater systems, the 42LG70. Sleek tear drop design coupled with invisible speakers make it a visual treat. Speaker grilles are done away with and invisible speakers take their place, resulting in an increased “sweet spot”. This leads to a much better audio quality. A full HD 1080p resolution enhances the picture quality to a great extent. Small details can be observed with amazing clarity on the LCD TV.

The quality of this TV is excellent. System is user friendly, picture quality very sharp, 42 inch screen is a great size for an average sized living room. And you cannot beat the price. White glove deliver was also very convenient.
The Intelligent Sensor uses 4096 sensing steps to differentiate different levels of brightness, contrast, color and sharpness. This leads to optimized power consumption. 4x HDMI makes the LG 42LG70 capable of transmitting high definition video and high resolution audio over a single cable. This gives a neat and clutter free look to the HDTV. The SimpLink connectivity uses this HDMI to control other similar and compatible products. A real theater experience can be attained due to 24P Real Cinema, which makes high definition movies extremely enjoyable.

An automatic enhancement and amplification of human voice is achieved by Clear Voice technology. Each distinct sound can be identified and human voices can be heard clearly above all the background sounds. 3 AV modes automatically set cinema, sports and game content in a single button, regulating the sound and picture as per requirement. JPEG photos and mp3 music files can be enjoyed via the USB port.
