LCD HDTV Brands Review
When you walk into a department store and want to purchase an LCD HDTV and you see all of these LCD HDTV brands I can imagine that you might have your favorites but some are just overwhelmed with what is new and what brands are the best and what technology best fits your situation. Today there are many different brands out on the market. Some control the market more than others and some rely on low price to bring in revenue.
Herewith are the review of some feature brands by Ian Jordan from Helium.com.
Sony is known for having great picture quality along with top notch features that enhance the pictures, colors and TV watching experience. Sony has a new XBR line of LCD HDTV’s which are amazing have some nice qualities to them, including a hidden feature that is called true black. It brings out the true black color you’re seeing, because there is more than one, most other TV’s only have one black. They also have the Bravia and SXRD. Sony’s service and company is great for questions and answering problems. They always try to answer anything they can.
Samsung is a brand that has redeemed themselves over the years. Coming out with some great quality LCD HDTV’s and nice innovate idea’s. Reliable service and company for questions and problems. Most of the Samsung’s, although a different company than Sony are made in the same warehouses.
LG is a new brand out on the market. Known for having a lot of features, with a fancy design but with a competitive price that will shock some. The service and company could be quicker in answering questions and problems but for a new company are going good.
Toshiba is a one of the top companies known for picture and features on there LCD HDTV’s. Almost a twin for picture with Sony and has some different features then them. The service and company when it comes to answering questions and problems is good.
Panasonic is a good company that is starting to have a bad reputation because of an LCD problem in one of there models a few years back. Overall alright picture quality and good for thosewho are looking for a good brand with good picture and a competitive, if not, lower price.
Sharp, a surprise to some but with there LCD HDTV line that came out last year have redeemed themselves on the market and have left the B-Company section. A little picture then Panasonic and can compete with Sony in picture. As for service and company answering questions and problems, they’re pretty average. They handle them all well.
Philips, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi, these 3 companies are doing alright. Mitsubishi and Hitachi mainly stick to bigger TV’s and are in the same category when it comes to picture quality it’s with Philips/Magnavox. All 3 are have good service. I’ve just seen too many returns of these brands in the past.
Sylvania/B-Companies, these companies are known for lower quality TV usually if they get into the big TV’s are EDTV only. Usually some of the names are hard to pronounce or impossible to pronounce. They are good for people who cannot afford to get into the higher dollars of some of the other brands and just want some better quality. Usually these companies have a 90 Day warranty only versus a year with most companies.
