Presented by HDTV Shop
Television technology is growing up from time by time. Today, we can find that almost all of the television using the Flat Panel TV. History of Flat Panel TV itself can we follow by the development of technology as follows.
Flat panel television beginning with Flat screen TV’s. These are regular TV’s with a flat screen TVs versus a tube, oval screen. Flat panel TVs is good for keeping away glare from lights and you will see more of the TV show rather than yourself. Some of them depending on the brand anyway also have digital comb filters.
Next development of Flat panel television is Slim Fit TV. Slim Fit TV have the semi-small backs to them that won’t make your TV stick out big time but are somewhat wider then regular TV’s due to the speakers being on the side.
Plasma is a TV technology is another flat panel television technology. It is made with gases that make the picture on the screen. Unlike LCD it’s not a danger to touch the screen but don’t drop it. Plasma’s for now only come in the big sizes because they have not mastered the technology enough to make smaller plasma’s. When you are looking for plasma you must keep in mind that although the gases are harmless to us if they escape from the TV no one can fix this for you, your TV is done. When planting this TV on a wall DO NOT put it over a fire place as this will just kill the life of the TV faster. Usually the life of Plasma is about 5-6 years maybe and does have an outstanding picture, especially with HDTV.
Next of Flat panel television is LCD TV. This technology means liquid crystal display. The benefit to this technology is an amazing picture, especially with the HDTV compatible TV’s. LCD flat panel technology has some different types and kinds. There is a 3 LCD which is a Projection television with the technology of LCD. This will reduce glare and darkness problems that the regular Projections have. Then you have the LCD Rear Projection TV which is basically the same as the 3 LCD but with a different picture contrast. 3 LCD will give you a better picture versus the rear projection LCD, but the flat LCD will give you the ultimate picture. LCD’s are made to last and through tests with the companies have a life of about 30-40 years if you take care of it properly but with that said the cost to have one of these fixed is immense. It will cost you a lot, especially since a knock on the door will cost you 70 or so dollars so it is important to take care of this. The screen is also important; do not touch it because that will kill your pixels. If you see a white spot at all on your LCD that means the pixels in that area are dead and you should have it fixed. Dropping this and breaking the screen will make a weird mess as well.
