Issue No. 1: Room And Furniture Spacing. 
Going to ” big screen plasma TV” is not simply a matter of bigger-is-better. There is a rule that the bigger the HDTV such as a 42 plasma TV, more distance you’ll need in order for the picture resolution to work perfectly.
You’ll need a minimum of 5-feet distance from the screen, for a 37 LCD TV model. Moving up in size to a 50 plasma television or 50″ LCD HDTV, you’ll need 8 to 10 feet of space between the front of your screen and your viewing chair.

Issue No. 3: Getting The Best LCD TV Shape For Viewing Performance. 
LCD screens…. Pixels … Plasma …… cables … the list goes on. When considering HDTV screen shape, think wide screen TV. That’s because most high definition broadcasts create a digital signal that corresponds to the wide-screen shape and format, which is captured in the term “16:9 aspect ratio. Old fashion analog sets, CRT TV in its earlier incarnations, put together cathode ray tubes in a square shaped sets with a conventional 4:3 aspect ratio. Looking to the not-so-distant future wider screen formats will permit your viewing of seriously wide screen film formats … which may expand to 21:9 wide aspect ratio.
