The LN19A450 19″ 720p LCD HDTV from Samsung is ideal wherever space is tight. This slim, stylish screen has an integrated NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner, which receives digital terrestrial and cable signals. The HDMI input allows for a one-cable digital connection with your HD gear. The LN19A450 has a 19″ display, which features sharp, realistic imagery combined with SRS TruSurround XT to bring your movies and HD programming to life. The PC input allows this display to double as a computer monitor when space saving is essential

The 19-inch Samsung LN19A450 (in white as the LN19A451) is small, but the image is first-rate. Sized well for a bedroom, office or kitchen counter, the hidden speakers contribute to the small LCD TV’s sleek look, but the “thin” sound they produce is the main complaint that a few express. If you want an even more striking design, the Samsung LN19A650 (*est. $375) brings the distinctive Touch of Color (ToC) bezel of Samsung’s well-regarded Series 6 sets to a 19-inch screen size, but lacks the other high-end features found in the big-screen (40 inches and up) members of this series.

The Samsung LN19A450 is a great LCD TV for anyone who needs a second unit for the kitchen, office, exercise room, even a small bedroom. It has all the connections you will ever need, including a pc input. And it’s smart too! It scanned all my standard and HiDef cable channels, deleted the scrambled ones and organized them all at a touch of a button!

Color and contrast are spot-on. Adjusting the variable backlight, brightness, and contrast controls yields perhaps the best picture quality from non-BluRay DVD. There are 3 picture pre-sets-Dynamic for viewing in a bright room, Standard for normal viewing, and Movie for watching in a darkened room. Vertical and horizontal viewing angles are relatively generous. While there is not an over-abundance of inputs-one HDMI, one S-Video, a single set of component and composite, and a pc input for use with a computer, that’s typical for smaller-screen TVs.

Pros: Tv is perfect for small places, like kitchens etc. THe color, tuner, etc work well – took about 10 minutes to setup. The OTA HD channels are great. Good image with many picture controls, Easy to set up and use, PC input and QAM-compatible digital tuner, Available with either black or white frame

Cons: only one HDMI port, Sound quality not the best, Stand does not tilt
